DAY 2-BKK

had a good night sleep at our previous hotel...so now we are off to our next hotel which I highly anticipated since I saw the photos and read rave reviews from other travellers...this time we decided to concentrate fully on the chatuchak area so our next hotel is the Mystic Place ..its a really cool and funky boutique hotel at the Pradipat Rd..very near chatuchak area..there's a free tuk tuk 'van' which can either bring u straight to chatuchak or the MRT stations every half an hour.
So here is the hotel..oh yea, the room is considered quite expensive since we are accustomed to cheap rooms in bangkok..this one is about 1500BAHT ++ per night

oohhh how excited i was...i love this place!! i love the colours, the decor, the friendly staffs, the food is not bad...and THE ROOM...omg!!
mak suka okay!!!!hahaha

very kitsch deluxe tau...:)
so after clicking away for like tons of pics in the room, we dragged our butts out to chatuchak market hmmm not much photos of us here as it was the same old same old..

since we had a few hours to spare before we hit our most anticipated place to go TALAD ROD FAI..we decided to take a cab to one of Bangkok's forgotten mall..the Nightingale Olympic..spooky building but i found an original vintage  Fred Perry shorts here! they don't make these anymore u know..
bought quite a few vintage trinkets from here...wonder if the hello deer market got any takers?hehehe
next stop was the V64 Art Village named after Vibhavadi-Rangsit 64 which took us about half an hour to get here..
It is a base of nearly 75 artists in 30 studios...all under one address.

tis is the studio of our artist friend Jitti, he's not around as he is at the chatuchak stall

these are some of Jitti's works which we sadly did not bring any home.boohoo

okay next stop is TALAD ROD FAI...at the next post..hehe
